The Hofner CT 500/5 President Bass

The Contemporary version of the 500/5 (President) bass, inspired by the models of the 1950's and 60's as played by Stuart Sutcliffe in the early days of The Beatles. With a fully hollow 16.5" wide body and close spaced Hofner "Toaster" pick-ups this is an amazing looking bass.  The 500/5 is a vintage style bass that allows you to capture the tones of the 50s and 60s at a very affordable price of $869.  The bass includes a Hofner hard shell case and 2 year Hofner factory warranty. 

Note the latest version of 500/5 has replaced the bar pickups in favor of higher output toaster style pickups and also changed the headstock inlays. 

The new version is be available in Sunburst and Black.  Note Hofner currently only offers right handed versions.
